About Mrs. Tipton By way of a brief biography, I am married to the handsome bald guy, Tim, in the picture to the left. We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this past summer on July 19. We have 7 children, 4 by birth and adoption and 3 in-love children, and 8 wonderful grandchildren. The grandkids, 4 girls and 4 boys, range in age from 22-2 years old. All adult ages are irrellevant.
Tim and I enjoy traveling during our summers, usually going to Model Airplane competitions and/or All-Inclusive Resort vacations. I much prefer the latter. We also enjoy going to events and activities that include our extremely talented and brilliant grandchildren. We have three adorable fur babies: Obie is a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Mix; Louie is our almost toothless Yorkie; and Ellie is our couch-eating (and anything else she can wrap her mouth around) Shih Tzu/Dauchund mix. |
Why Am I Here? |
Teaching has been the major focus of my life since I was a teenager, beginning with 2 and 3-year-olds in Sunday School at the age of 16. As years progressed and life changes occurred, my experiences expanded to substitute teaching, giving private piano lessons, and ultimately going back to college when my sons were in high school. After substituting in kindergarten through high school, I found my greatest passion in the middle school level, specifically in the public school arena. For me, teaching is not my profession; it is my calling.

Education Philosophy |
My philosophy for education is based on the African proverb: "It takes a village to raise a child." Our children are our most precious asset for the future. Education must be a priority in developing not only academic achievement, but also in building men and wormen of character, integrity, and perserverance. Learning is a lifelong endeavor. I am convinced students' success depends on a strong relationship including student engagement, parental involvement, and highly qualified classroom teachers. My expectations for my students and myself are to give our very best effort at all times. Staying in close and frequent communication within this network will help us all achieve desired results.
